The Disturbing Reality

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s life was shrouded in deception from the beginning. Born to Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard and Rod Blanchard in 1991, Gypsy Rose’s childhood was dominated by her mother’s fabrications of her health. Dee Dee convinced not only Gypsy Rose but also the medical community and the public that her daughter suffered from numerous severe illnesses, including muscular dystrophy and leukemia.
